RSG is seeking an HR professional who can support or oversee the following areas of responsibility. This role will focus on recruiting/talent management but administers and supports HR activities to provide a compliant environment where staff feel connected, recognized, and respected. This role will be based near our headquarters in White River Junction, VT but remote work may be considered.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Talent Management:

  • Conducts orientation and onboarding programs.
  • Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
  • Supports management by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; consulting with managers on candidate selection.
  • Develops and maintains a performance management program that influences a culture of continuous feedback for staff.
  • Conducts, analyzes and reports exit interview data to leadership.
  • Facilitates relationship between staff and external council related to immigration matters.

HR Management and Compliance

  • Supports the planning, implementing, and evaluation of HR policies, programs, and practices in consultation with leadership and legal counsel to ensure compliance.
  • Oversees and manages HR-related compliance through monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements, conducting investigations, maintaining records.
  • Works in collaboration with company management to reinforce policy, company values and practice standards. Provides coaching and consultation for both management and staff as necessary.
  • Cultivates professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

Benefits:

  • Implements and manages employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends.
  • In partnership with Leadership and outside business partners, prepares data and tools to inform decision-making related to benefit programs.
  • Directs the processing of benefit claims.
  • Designs and conducts educational programs on benefit programs.

HR Systems:

  • Develops and maintains a human resources system that accurate and automates business processes and is used to effectively inform decision-making.
  • Retains historical human resource records by designing a compliant filing and retrieval system for past and current records.
  • Primary contact for HR system integration and information.

Compensation:

  • Supports leadership in the development of pay program planning, and implementation of pay structure revisions.
  • Conducts job evaluations and individual pay action recommendations. Implements pay changes as necessary or directed by leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or similar work experience required. Masters degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in progressively responsible operations or human resource roles.
  • PHR/SPHR certification preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience in Benefits preferred.
  • Self-starter who demonstrates an ability to set goals and drives through completion in a collaborative and friendly manner.
  • High technical aptitude and experience with HR Systems and Excel.
  • Knowledgeable in various aspects of HR compliance and legal regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Skilled problem-solver.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively partner, collaborate and consult.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
  • Adjusting or moving objects up to 20 pounds in all directions
  • Communicating with others to exchange information
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
  • Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned
