Job Description
GENERAL SUMMARY
The Club Service Attendant is a non-exempt position whose primary responsibility is overseeing the Club Services department to ensure that golf guests are appropriately introduced to the course and facilities, and that all rounds begin in a timely manner. In addition, this position will assist in the cleanliness and upkeep of the golf cart fleet and facilities, as well as the driving range staff, equipment and facilities.

Employee Supervision
- Hires, trains, supervises, develops those supervised in accordance with company policies and directives
- Responsible for implementation of all laws, regulations and policies regarding, employment practices, safety rules and all other company policies and procedures
- Monitor uniform adherence of all staff
Department Management
- Daily walk-throughs to ensure staff is maintaining a clean, organized and safe facility
- Manage the Club Services and Driving Range operations to ensure efficiency and exceptional member, guest and Associate service
- Manage supply inventory through monthly audits and loss control measures, and ensuring that all supplies are adequately stocked
- Oversee day-to-day department operations run safely, smoothly and efficiently through a visible management presence and leadership
Cart Attendant Functions
- Provide enthusiastic and professional service to all guests
- Assist with (un)loading of golf bags out of cars and into golf carts
- Maintain and exhibit knowledge of the property, golf course and etiquette
- Inform players of the course local rules and regulations
- Inform guests of any peculiarities of the course or facilities
- Ensure that all players start in the correct order, and maintain that order and pace while on the course
- Ensure that all players tee off on time and at the correct tee
- Keep records of all rounds played, as well as cart usage
- Ensure all players have receipts that are turned in at the start of play
- Communicate with the Golf Shop and the ranger regarding the status of the tee times
- At the end of the day collect, organize and submit all records of play, including receipts and tee sheets
- Clean clubs for members and guests upon completion of round, as well as do the same for the rental equipment
- Wash and maintain golf cart fleet, including the beverage cart
- Transport carts from cart shelter to the cart staging area outside of the golf shop
- Ensure cart fleet is stocked throughout the day with pencils, scorecards, tees, water, ice and sand
- Empty trash in and around the golf facilities
- Clean the shoe station of loose grass clippings
- Sweep and clean around the clubhouse and the outdoor grounds
- Understand and anticipate the needs of our members; be attentive, listen carefully and follow through; provide exceptional customer service
- Communicate timely and follow up as appropriate
- Active participation in events, programs, meetings and training
- Represent the club in a professional manner through image, dress, communication, and immediate follow through and response
- Schedule varies and may require weekend and holiday hours, days and evenings
Communication & Relationships
- Effectively and professionally interacts and communicates with senior management, managers, other Associates, members, and guests.
- Promote harmonious relations among members, staff, and the community at-large.
- Communicate timely and follow up, as appropriate.
- Represent the club in a professional manner through image, dress, communication, and immediate follow through and response
- Active participation in required events, required programs, required meetings and required trainings.

Qualifications

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
Ability to read/understand, analyze, and interpret general training manuals, professional journals, or technical procedures; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from children, managers, Associates, members, and the general public.
- Ability to identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Knowledge of the game of golf (rules and etiquette).
- Ability to maneuver a golf cart through congested areas
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum two (2) years of golf/caddie experience preferred
- Valid Drivers License
- Professional, friendly manner and excellent customer service attitude and abilities
- Strong verbal communication and conflict resolution skills
- Enthusiastic, responsible, and dependable team player
- Self-motivated, takes initiative, anticipate the needs of others and willing to acquire new skills
- Well organized and detail oriented

- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
- The Associate must be able to lift golf bags in and out of carts
- The Associate must be able to walk up and down steep cart paths
- The Associate must be able to work during adverse weather conditions.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. This position primarily works in an outdoor environment. Such conditions may range from high heat in direct sunlight or cold temperatures.
