About the job

As a SAS Cloud Systems Engineer for the SAS Cloud team in the SAS Cloud and Information Services (CIS) division, you will focus on network technology for the transition of projects or workstreams from design into operations as well as partner with delivery teams for the ongoing support of the solution. You will be a key contributor to design and management as well as in depth investigation into operational incidents and problem remediation. You will work collaboratively and consult with customers, analysts, developers, and implementation team members to identify best practices and achieve desired results.

As a SAS Cloud Systems Engineer you will:

• Serve as the main point of contact for networking for assigned customer infrastructure team.
• Deliver excellent customer service using a customer first and continuous improvement mindset.
• Define the design documentation requirements for a solution.
• Execute proof of concept testing for a proposed solution to meet customer provided standards and security.
• Use IT Service Management best practices for change, incident, and problem management to meet and support Service Level Agreement requirements SAS Cloud customers.
• Create and maintain service documentation including runbooks, knowledge base articles, and wiki content.

Required qualifications

• 5 years of experience in Information Technology
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
• Technology/Vendor Experience.
• LAN, WAN, VPN, Load Balancing
• Arista, Dell and Cisco Network Devices
• Leaf and Spine Networking design

• Design and tuning based on the following technologies are nice to have
  • Red Hat Linux and Windows Server
  • Red Hat OpenShift
