Description
- Lead the design, implementation, and management of advanced cloud-based solutions using platforms such as AWS and Azure.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of Infrastructure Engineers.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and reliable cloud architectures.
- Architect and optimize automated deployment pipelines to streamline application delivery.
- Conduct regular performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and capacity planning to ensure system reliability.
- Schedule and complete the migration of workloads from remote self-managed datacenters to cloud managed environments.
- Implement and enforce security best practices, including conducting regular security assessments.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure applications are designed for scalability and maintainability.
- Participate in On-Call rotation regarding production infrastructure outages.
- Stay abreast of emerging cloud technologies and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4 years of relevant experience
- Proven experience as a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer or similar role.
- Extensive hands-on experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or PowerShell.
- Expertise in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- In-depth knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and security principles.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to lead complex technical initiatives.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable.
- Prior experience maintaining network and server equipment remotely as well as participating in datacenter relocations is a plus.
Compensation
In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $91,400 - $137,200, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. This position is also eligible for an annual corporate bonus of 8%. If you are hired at Payscale, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider any internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package (more information on benefits listed below).
