We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell V-280 Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) and the Bell 360 Invictus Future Attack and Reconnaissance Aircraft (FARA), part of the US Army's Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless, Bell's Autonomous Pod Transport (APT), and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold tilt-rotor. This position is onsite in Fort Worth however, exceptions for alternate work arrangements may be considered.
Cloud Data Architect - FLRAA Digital Enterprise
The Cloud Data Architect is an experienced technologist specializing in the creation, development, and continuing maturity of Cloud Data platforms that support both transactional, streaming, and analytical data environments. You will lead the architecture and design of the data backbone supporting key initiatives within the Future Vertical Lift organization at Bell which supports our Military customers. Leveraging your experience with master data management, lambda architectures, and multi-tiered data platforms, you will help define and deliver a data infrastructure that supports a host of use cases across the FVL enterprise.
What you'll be doing as a Cloud Data Architect
Develop and maintain data integration and data quality processes
Develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures
Anticipating possible problems and resolving them before they impact users
Ensure data backup and storage systems as well as identifying security or usability concerns
Proven success contributing with a multi-location team-oriented environment
Work with Agile and DevOps techniques and implementation approaches in the delivery
Using good communication skills to understand and deliver client requirements
Manage and use tools in the Cloud Data warehouse development and deployment such as ETL tools, data quality and cleansing tools, query/reporting tools, OLAP, data mining, etc.
Coordinate with stakeholders to establish requirements and design for data integration, systems and infrastructure needs along with metrics calculation, dashboard, and alerting
Research emerging technology trends, new models, vendor solutions and market opportunities to identify potential industry disruptors that could help the organization dominate their position in the market
Responsible for developing/implementing cloud infrastructure to support current and future business needs
What You Bring To this Role
- Bachelor's degree with a Major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems. Related degrees with relevant experience may be considered
- Advanced degree may be considered as additional experience
- At least 8 Years' Experience with Cloud Data Warehouse technologies and complex Data Architecture and models
- Working knowledge of designing architectures for large volume real time data streams and component services
- Working knowledge of MS Azure configuration and Lambda architecture
- Good understanding of fault-tolerant architectures and high availability
- Experience with one or more of the following: Big Data technologies, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, Amazon Redshift, HADOOP, NOSQL, Apache Kafka, Spark, Cassandra
- Aerospace development experience preferred
- Eligibility to obtain DoD Secret Security Clearance
