The Position:
We are seeking a full-time Bilingual School-Based Therapist to provide clinical services to students and their families in a public-school setting in the Antelope Valley
What You'll Do
- Provides individual, family and group therapy to assigned caseload within scope of practice.
- Provides a range of treatment services including but not limited to intakes, assessments, ongoing treatment planning and discharge planning.
- Provides field-based services when needed to meet the needs of the client which may include where the client lives or other community locations.
- Develops effective, individualized treatment plans and monitor client progress.
- Assumes ownership for any crisis situations as it relates to service delivery and sees it through to its completion, including outside of work hours.
- Actively involves caregivers in treatment through collateral and family sessions, parent education programs, and family support groups.
- Ensures that client's record is of high quality and kept up-to-date as part of the services provided.
- Participates in supervision, meetings and trainings related to position and services provided including evidence-based practice trainings, boosters, and consultations as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned within recognized scope of practice.
- Hours: Full-time (40 hours), Monday - Friday, some evenings may be required
- Starting Salary: $67,500 (additional years of successful related experience and/or licensure will be considered as well.)
- +$3000 bilingual differential for Spanish Speaking clinicians (Must pass Spanish proficiency assessment)
Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
- DMH paperwork experience
- Experience providing mental health services to children and adolescents.
- Strong assessment and clinical judgment skills.
- Knowledge of evidence-based child and family interventions.
- Ability to develop reasonable, appropriate treatment plans and clinical programs to meet the needs of the clients.
- Ph.D., Psy.D., MSW, or MA/MS with an emphasis on marriage and family therapy. Must be eligible to register with the Board of Psychology or Board of Behavioral Sciences.
- PPSC credential not required for this position
