Habit OPCO provides rehabilitation treatment services on an outpatient basis for patients with drug addictions, enabling them to function normally in society. Our highly-trained professionals, many of whom are Masters-prepared, provide individual, group and family counseling focused on addiction, recovery, and related personal, family, and vocational issues.

As a Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor, you will become an integral part of Habit OPCO's multidisciplinary treatment team, helping patients to address not only their physical addiction, but also the psychological and social aspects of this complex disorder and its many consequences. You will be involved with patients throughout their entire recovery process and have the opportunity to develop long-term therapeutic relationships with many of them.

[ Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor - Therapist - Social Worker ] JOB RESPONSIBILITIESAs a Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor, you will work in consultation with the clinical, operational, and medical directors, and nurses to create and monitor the individualized treatment plans that are best suited to assist each patient in overcoming addiction.
Your specific duties as a Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting patient assessments
- Creating treatment plans
- Providing individual and group Substance Abuse counseling
- Monitoring the overall recovery of each patient
- Making referrals for medical examinations, drug screens and other services
- Making treatment recommendations based on data gathered during counseling sessions
- Taking detailed notes and updating files for each session
