Clinical Quality Analyst

Core Competencies

Works collaboratively with the Health Information Management team and staff to promote cooperation and understanding of the data collection process

Understands data storage and data sharing methods. Investigates data to find patterns and trends. Converts data into usable information that is easy to understand.

Collaborates with internal & external teams by establishing effectiveness benchmarks, conducting analyses of internal and external outcome data and leading interpretation, review, as well as communication of results

Provides analytical assessment of health information services using clinical decision support as well as information systems, and provides recommendations for improvement.

Collaborates with data abstractors, provides training and education for data management, reporting of outcomes, communication of results to clinical effectiveness teams, and external data submissions.

Serves as a resource to the department, physicians, clinicians, other departments and senior leadership in the evaluation of systems and processes of care and service, based upon operational, clinical, perceptual and financial outcome data

Utilizes Lean management tools and processes to facilitate performance improvement initiatives that support organizational goals and strategies.

Provides guidance and feedback to leadership on their application of quality improvement data, utilizing analytic principles, concepts, and problem solving tools and techniques.

• Develops reports and presentations. Communicates analytic insights to management.
