POSITION SUMMARY:
The role of the Clinical Manager, Medical Affairs is to support all projects and activities that are handled within the Medical Affairs team. This role will also assist the Chief Medical Officer with clinical training for staff clinicians. This role will work collaboratively with the entire EmVenio team to ensure Medical Affairs projects are completed and successfully rolled out where necessary. This role's duties include assisting with new study feasibilities, PI communications and licensures tracking, and clinical skills education.
The skills and qualifications required for this role include a master’s degree in science or related field, 5 years of clinical research experience, excellent communication and organizational skills, strong attention to detail and works collaboratively with others.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support Chief Medical Officer with Integrated Research Organization (IRO)/Site Management Organization activities (SMO).
- Partner with Director of Clinical Trial Strategy for study feasibility, including reviewing study protocols, assessing potential risks and benefits, and providing guidance on the feasibility of conducting a particular study.
- Develop and execute education and training initiatives for clinical staff.
- Create tools and assessments to ensure effective clinical skills training of new hires.
- Work closely with the operational team, assisting in developing the clinical (RN, NP, and CRC) network.
- Assist in standardizing the role of advanced practitioners as sub-investigators, ensuring that they are fully trained and equipped to perform their duties effectively.
- Identify and facilitate any areas where additional clinical skills training or support may be needed in conjunction with the Education manager and supervisors.
- Conduct periodic clinical skills evaluation of site staff.
- May assist in licensure management of the clinical network (NPs and RNs).
- Participate in cross functional initiatives as directed.
- Identifies knowledge gaps to improve efficiency and reduce time to proficiency.
- Participate as needed in business development.
- Other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Clinical Master’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- 5+ years clinical research and clinical skills experience.
- Clinical skills experience includes but are not limited to starting and performing phlebotomy, IVs, subcutaneous injections, collecting vital signs, ECG, sample processing and physical examinations.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including strong communication, presentation, written and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to be highly collaborative and quickly establish credibility and gain participation across a variety of stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities that support clinical continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must be a self-starter and highly motivated individual who can identify needs and proactively work to solve problems and gaps
- Proven ability to lead and drive change in a complex multi-stakeholder environment.
Supervisory Responsibility:
- While this role will not have direct reports initially, the role will have oversight responsibilities of the physician and clinical network.
- With EmVenio’s planned growth, the role would need to build a team overtime to help manage a growing clinical network.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed primarily remote, typically in a home office. From time-to-time travel may be expected, but this will typically be in an office / conference environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate in other situations.

Amount of Travel Required: up to 75%.
Schedule: Monday – Friday
Compensation: $120,000-$135,000. The actual salary offered will carefully be considered by a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
