Job Summary:
The primary purpose of this position is to work collaboratively as part of the Sunset Manor & Village Campus team to create an environment that encourages resident involvement and personal growth. One of the main responsibilities of the Clinical Manager is to develop and direct the Nursing team on the Sunset campus.
Essential Functions of your Job:
- Collaborates with the Director of Clinical Services and Nursing Team in assuring the quality resident care standards are met.
- Work with Human Resources on identifying staffing needs and assist with the interviewing and hiring of clinical staff.
- Ensuring orientation and training process of clinical staff, conducting employee evaluations, counseling personnel as needed, and keeping written personnel records as required.
- Develop, implement, and maintain an effective new employee training program.
- Oversee and facilitate the continuing education, competency, and staff development of the nursing department.
- Partner with Human Resources to ensure that departmental disciplinary action is administered consistently.
- Ensures that resident charting and medication documentation is maintained according to state regulations.
- Implement Care Conferences according to policy schedule for residents on a level of care.
- Assist direct care staff with maintaining residents’ needs through the aging process.
- Work with the nursing department scheduler and the Clinical Care Coordinator regarding the nursing staff schedule.

Wage: starting at $28.50 per hour *Experience considered

Requirements:Qualifications and Experience Required:
Minimum of a license from the state of Michigan as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Experience in department management.
