Full time Clinical Liaison
Carrollton Springs is a 78-bed behavioral hospital located in Carrollton, TX. The hospital offers inpatient and outpatient mental health and addiction treatment to adults, adolescents and their families. At Carrollton Springs we are dedicated to Changing People’s Lives®.
The Clinical Liaison is responsible for assessing and identifying psychosocial, educational, developmental, and behavioral functioning of patients through established care finding mechanisms. The Clinical Liaison responds to crisis calls for assessments at facilities and/or physician offices in a timely manner (typically within an hour) and completes a clinical assessment using DSM IV criteria to ensure that the patient receives the appropriate level of care to meet the patient’s needs. The Clinical Liaison also serves as an extension of the business development team and, in conjunction with the BD Director, for implementing the hospital’s business development plan/strategy. Identifies, establishes, and maintains relationships with hospital referral sources. Plans and/or attends community events to increase community awareness and to present a positive for the hospital. Serves as a liaison between the hospital, referral sources and the community, consistently providing an high level of customer service.

- Facilitates response to request for services, including the initial response, the assessment and referral process, the desigation of approprate level of care, admission into services and appropriate follow up activity.
- Conducts initial evaluation, initiates the assessment, documenting patient symptomology, functioning, needs and provides information to MD for LOC determination.
- Demonstrates excellent customer serviced skills in assisting patients, physicians, visitors and coworkers in a prompt and courteous manner.
- Possess clear knowledge of Emergency Detention paperwork and processes and EMTALA.
- Maintains all preadmission and admission paperwork with accuracy, completes all per-certification with insurance companies.
- Actively seeks to identify new potential referral sources.
- Assists in ensuring all admissions are well-coordinated with the hospital’s intake and referral office, business office, MD and case management.
- Attends and contributes to BD team meetings and appropriate sub-committee meetings.
- Develops monthly/quarterly business development plans for assigned accounts as required.
- Routinely participate in relevant community organized meetings and programs.
- Participates in the development and execution of marketing special events as assigned by the Director of BD.
- Assists the Director of BD in maintaining the marketing budget and recommends cost saving measures.
- Keeps referral sources informed of program changes within the hospital.
- Consistently markets the hospital to build community awareness and ensure a positive image of the hospital.
- Displays fiscal responsibility.
Requirements:
- Education: Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work or clinical related mental health field degree or per state of practice guidelines or graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required.
Experience:
- Preferred minimum of two (2) years’ work experience in a psychiatric health care facility, direct practice in mental health treatment, crisis intervention
- License: Current unencumbered clinical social work or counseling license. RN license may be accepted. Valid driver’s license and a favorable motor vehicle report (MVR), along with proof of insurance when using your own auto.
- Additional Requirements: May be required to work flexible hours and overtime, ability to meet typing keyboard expectations.
