Premier Clinical Research is an independent research company providing pharmaceutical clinical trials in Spokane, WA. We're looking for a Laboratory Assistant/Phlebotomist to join our growing company.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Tasks may include but are not limited to:
· Represents PCR in a professional and courteous manner (verbal, written and in appearance) when interacting with PCR staff, sponsors, IRBs, patients/subjects, nursing and medical staff members of various clinics, hospitals and physician’s offices
· Complies with all HIPAA and GCP regulations
· Maintains confidentiality of patient and/or protocol issues as appropriate and as bound by Confidentiality Agreements with PCR, between PCR and sponsors, and between PCR and other entities.
· Performs blood draws and process it correctly including research required labs per specific protocol
· Performs timed PK draws per protocol requirements
· Obtains lab results and reports from various lab portals, and files appropriately
· Checks and maintains laboratory inventory and restock supplies
· Orders supplies when needed
· Maintains records, including equipment calibration and temperature logs
· Provides additional assistance to lab and research staff
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND/OR ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:
· Strong computer skills, including Excel
· Ability to stand for long hours
· Ability to lift at least 30 pounds
· Reliable transportation
· Excellent organizational skills
· Strong attention to detail
· Excellent written communication
· Ability to work well on a team
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
· Active MA/P Certification
· High school diploma or equivalency
· HIV and BBP Training
· CPR Training
· 2 years of phlebotomy experience
· Background in research is preferred
