The Position:
We're looking for a passionate Clinical Educator for our Healthcare Pathways team. This position committed to delivering excellence in our mission to care for Kupuna. Our ideal team member / recruiter supervise care provided by Practical Nursing students (usually 8-10 students in a group) during clinical rotations in various Healthcare Pathway programs and partnerships. Other responsibilities include:
- Ensures that care is provided by students in accordance with nursing best practices, OPH policies and procedures, quality improvement guidelines, and local, state, and federal regulations
- Maintains positive working relationships with OPH staff to facilitate student learning.
- Directs, instructs, and guides students in the clinical setting.
- Facilitates development of student’s critical thinking, technical, and professional communication skills.
- Delegates selected nursing functions to students in accordance with their level of nursing education and demonstrated competency.
Requirements:
- Current Hawaii Registered Nurse in good standing.
- BS in Nursing from an accredited school or equivalent.
- Minimum of three (3) years as a registered nurse and/or practical nurse in acute/post-acute care, rehabilitative nursing, home health, or related setting required.
- Ability to prioritize projects and initiate follow through with meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and ability to write clearly and concisely.
