POSITION SUMMARY:
Assumes responsibility as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner for the patient care given by the Agency ensuring the care is consistent with community standards and the standards of Moore Medical Group, Inc., and Federal/ State and JCAHO.
ESSENTIAL CLINICAL DIRECTOR DUTIES:
- Responsible for duties included in the Advanced Nurse Practitioner Job Description as well as role for Clinical Director.
- Ensures that adequate quantity and quality of all levels of Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) and Physician Assistant (PA) providers are scheduled as appropriate for the needs of the assigned facilities.
- Supervises all professional clinical services within assigned Moore Medical Group, Inc./Caya Health region.
- Ensures compliance with all state, federal, and local laws regarding licensure and certifications of staff.
- Assist Medical Director with in-service education programs for all MMG providers.
- Assists with clinical interview process and recruitment of professional personnel within the assigned region.
- Responsible for the quality of professional clinical services provided by the agency in the facilities served.
- Serves as a liaison between providers and facility Medical Director/Administration.
- Responsible for safety protocols and infection control policies MMG providers.
- Assists Business Office/Operations Manager with flow of superbills and invoicing.
- Responsible for new provider clinical orientation process at assigned facilities.
- Establishes communication with facility DON’s/Medical Directors and communicates information to Providers by having monthly meetings with providers, giving feedback/comments as necessary.
- Responsible for review of documentation submitted by assigned providers.
- Ensures that performance evaluations are completed at intervals stated in agency personnel policy.
- Stays informed about changes in the field of nursing and shares information with appropriate staff and administrative personnel.
- Assist in the area for the patient centered medical home certification and MIPS Quality measures for Caya.
- Participates in the development of policies and procedures.
- Responsibility will include pursuing new inpatient psychiatry contracts for Moore Medical Group.
- Responsible for other duties as assigned by CEO.
- Responsible for compliance to the Agency’s Performance Improvement Plan.
COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complies with applicable legal requirements, standards, policies and procedures including, but not limited to, those within the compliance process, Standards of Conduct, HIPAA, State Licensure and JCAHO.
- Participates in required orientation, ethics and HIPAA training programs.
- Reports concerns and suspected incidences of non-compliance following Standards of Conduct.
- Cooperates with monitoring and audit functions and investigation.
- Participates, as requested, in process improvement responsibilities.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduate of an accredited school of Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner with a current license in the state in which employed.
- Training and experience in health service administration and at least 1 year of supervisory or administrative experience.
- Must have evidence of licensure/certification per state statutes.
- Ability to relate well to others.
- Ability to work and interact with departments throughout the organization.
- Able to handle multiple projects concurrently.
