Metro Prep High School, Grade School and Laureate Day School have been educating and supporting students with special needs for over 25 years supported by FGC. Using a multidisciplinary approach, Metro Prep and Laureate Day School provides educational and therapeutic learning opportunities in a small, nurturing environment. This allows our staff to tailor each student’s program to meet his or her individual needs.
Essential Duties:
- Maintain clinical supervisory responsibility for all psychologists, counselors, practicum students and paraprofessionals.
- Complete evaluations for all psychologists, counselors, practicum students and paraprofessionals.
- Maintain clinical documentation of supervision with clinical staff.
- Supervise paraprofessionals weekly or biweekly.
- Hold biweekly training meetings for all paraprofessionals.
- Monitor and maintain the schools' clinical component.
- Monitor and maintain the Diagnostic Program.
- Collaborate with the assistant principal in training and tasks/job assignment of paraprofessionals.
- Collaborate with the educational coordinators to orient new paraprofessionals.
- Collaborate with the Principal and Assistant Principal on program planning, enrollment, and hiring and termination of staff.
- Attend district staffings as required.
- Implement school disciplinary procedures as necessary.
- Attend all required staff meetings and in-services.
- Schedule, participate, and coordinate in weekly Case Conference Presentations.
- Participate in shared duties and responsibilities necessary to the functioning of the milieu and school community.
- Participate in IEP meetings as necessary.
- Assist in Arrival and Dismissal as needed.
- Assist staff in crisis intervention and physical management as needed.
- Coordinate with counselors and nursing staff on the need to provide medical attention, hospital transport, and fire/EMT intervention.
- Maintain and monitor the schools' safety and lockdown procedures.
- Adhere to and support the philosophy of Metro Prep and Laureate Day School.
Schedule: Monday - Friday (8:00a - 3:30p)
Start Date: January 2024

Pay Rate: Up to $80,000; based on experience

Experience and Skills:
Education and Experience: Doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field. Licensed to perform clinical work. Five years clinical experience, five years supervisory experience, and five years working with children/adolescents in day school setting.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Psychologist license, TCI
