Clinical Assistant Professor Of Counseling Psychology, Fall 2024

The Clinical Assistant Professor of Counseling Psychology position is a 12-month (renewable) appointment to a non-tenure-track position in the Department of Psychology at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. The Department of Psychology is housed in the College of Arts & Sciences. For more details regarding the department, go to https://psychology.utk.edu/about-psychology/. This position is scheduled to begin August 1, 2024.

Responsibilities include overseeing and providing individual and group supervision to graduate counseling and clinical psychology students in a wide range of psychotherapy activities throughout the year (including over the summer) in the UT Psychological Clinic (https://psychclinic.utk.edu). Opportunities exist (but are not required) for providing supervision of psychological assessments. Responsibilities also include teaching core courses in the counseling and clinical psychology doctoral programs and possibly in the undergraduate psychology program.

The applicant must have a PhD (or equivalent) from an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited program in counseling or clinical psychology, completed an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship, and be licensed or license-eligible (within one year of hire) as a psychologist at the independent doctoral level in Tennessee, with no history of disciplinary action.
