The Clinical Assistant position at Pinnacle will allow you to engage with the patient throughout their journey while working closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide excellent patient care.

We are seeking a Clinical Assistant to join our dedicated team at Seattle Reproductive Medicine in Tacoma, Spokane or Kirkland, WA (your preference on location). This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position, working 40 hours per week. The required availability is Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Administrative tasks to support the clinical team include data entry of lab and ultrasound results, insurance prior authorizations, outside lab requisitions, and FMLA paperwork.
• Collaborate with the patient care team to send introductory portal messages to new patients, along with educational modules, handouts, and consent forms.
• Check in with new patients 1-2 weeks after initial appointment with support resources and assist with scheduling diagnostic testing and follow up consult appointments.
• Follow up on canceled or missed appointments and with all patients who have not had contact within 2 months of their last appointment.
• Collaborate with the patient care team to set up and maintain preconception and treatment plan checklists in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Track cycle outcomes for patients doing ovulation induction and IUI treatment plans.
• Reach out to patients 5 months and 9 months after transitioning to their obstetrician and document pregnancy outcomes in the EMR.
• Assist the patient care team with e-faxing prescriptions, medication prior authorizations, and refill requests.
• Coordinate with other departments on the patient’s behalf, to get questions answered and facilitate treatment plans in the most efficient way possible.
• Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients and patients’ families. Comfort patients by anticipating patients' anxieties and answering questions as permitted.
• Document patient contact in patient EMR; responsible for accurate data entry daily into the clinical system.
• Other duties as assigned, within the scope of practice.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma required; experience in customer service or CMA preferred.
• Minimum 1 year’s experience in women’s health in a physician’s practice preferred.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Superior critical thinking skills.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Excellent computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office preferred.
• Ability to communicate accurately and concisely, with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Possess a strong understanding and appreciation of a diverse work environment.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment, as well as the ability to work as a part of a multi-disciplinary team.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

$22.00 - $26.00 hourly

The compensation range for this position is between $22.00 - $26.00 per hour. Final compensation offers will be determined based on factors such as years of experience, skills, and qualifications.
