Location/Division Specific Information
The Eugene Oregon R&D and Production facility is part of ***'s Biosciences Division. BID is a *** billion business with 4,000+ employees across the globe. What we do
- Join the Bioproduction manufacturing team in the safe and efficient production of fluorescent and non-fluorescent research reagents. Be part of a specialized team producing fluorescent probes and reagents business as we make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
- Produce and analyze fluorescent protein-based products to meet customer requirements and timelines.
- Use HPLC, FPLC and gravimetric separation techniques to produce fluorescent-organic and quantum dot labeled antibodies and other biomolecules.
- Maintain accurate inventory of materials using sophisticated ERP controls.
- Analyze and interpret scientific data. Utilize specialized technical knowledge and skills.
- Contribute to a culture of excellence through continuous improvement.
- Maintain professional communication with representatives from other departments and teams as required.
- Work to achieve department goals and business objectives for quality, timely completion of work, and safety.
Education
- BS/BA Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, biology, or related subject area
- Experience in a technical manufacturing environment
- Experienced with Microsoft Applications; Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Excellent communication skills (written/verbal)
- Motivated, flexible, able to follow through, and able to focus in a fast pace environment
- Organized, detail oriented, and proactive
