Job Summary
The Clinic Specialty Certified Surgical Technologist OR is responsible for providing direct or indirect care, under the supervision of a physician, to patients who present for surgery in operating room, in-office procedure room(s) and direct support to surgeon in clinic managing post-op care. This individual will work more than 50% of their authorized hours in the OR assisting physician(s). Services provided by the Clinic Specialty Certified Surgical Technologist OR will include, but are not limited to, general patient care, assistance with procedures, documentation of activities and patient/family education, coordination of equipment and supplies to varying operating rooms and maintenance of in-office procedure rooms and autoclave. The Clinic Specialty Certified Surgical Technologist OR also performs job duties which are specific to department in which they are working; these duties will require special training. The Clinic Specialty Certified Surgical Technologist OR will provide care utilizing established principles and ethical standards as well as policies and procedures established by Deaconess.
Education and Experience
Graduation certificate from an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Current certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting, the National Center for Competency Testing or the National Association for Health Professionals.
CPR provider certification required
