Position Description
ERT is seeking early career, mid- and senior-level Climate Data Analyst/Software Engineers with experience in the development of datasets, products, services, and reports to support work at the National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI). Development activities will employ an approach known as the “co-production of knowledge,” wherein developers continuously communicate with practitioners to ensure that products and services are useful and used. Products and services will be deployed in operations, with a suite of lifecycle software engineer tasks.
Required Skills
- Background in the field of climate science
- Experience in the development of datasets, products, services, and reports derived from climatological data
- A record of sustaining operations, including data ingestion, quality assurance, data integration, data archive, and data access.
Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident and be able to pass a background investigation to obtain a security badge to enter the applicable government facility.
Education
BS or equivalent combination of education and experience
