Job Summary:

The Revenue Cycle Business Analyst/Client Business Analyst partners with the Revenue Cycle Managers to extract financial data from various accounting and information systems and performs financial analysis and reporting of data. This position is responsible for preparing yearly revenue budgeting, proactively solving client issues, being knowledgeable on healthcare hot topics, and generating monthly client reporting.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assists Revenue Cycle Manager by utilizing various internal software systems to extract data, analyze information, and effectively report on findings.
  • Assists in the preparation of yearly revenue budgets and generation of month end KPI tracking.
  • Improves client financial results by monitoring data, identifying variances and trends, developing resolutions, and making recommendations to Client Manager.
  • Responds timely to Revenue Cycle Manager requests to meet their needs and expectations.
  • Participates with Revenue Cycle Manager in regularly scheduled client calls, and occasionally attends client site visits.
  • Fills in for Revenue Cycle Manager as needed.
  • Conducts industry research and participates in continuing education to develop strong healthcare and radiology industry knowledge.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Required Skills:

  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, or 2+ years of equivalent experience, required.
  • At least one-year experience in healthcare environment preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including a strong command of advanced functions, pivot tables, charts, graphs, and report generation.

Physical Demands and Physical Work Environment:

  • In-Office/Hybrid Employee
    • Physical Demands: This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, typing, looking at computer screens, inbound and outbound phone/video calls, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax/scan machines. Sitting for long periods of time, walking to and from different areas of the building, pushing/pulling/lifting/carrying up to 10 pounds, etc.
    • Physical Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. The parking lot for the building is large and walking is required to approach and enter the building lobby. The office is located on the third floor and is accessible through the building lobby via elevator or stairs. To enter into and maneuver around the office, doors up to 10 pounds must be either pushed or pulled.
  • Remote Employee
    • Physical Demands: This role is largely sedentary and requires long periods of time sitting, typing, looking at computer screens, inbound and outbound phone/video calls, other standard office equipment, etc.
    • Physical Work Environment: This role is fully remote which means the individual will work from their own home.
