Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Primary accountability for growth, retention and client satisfaction for that book of business
- Develop thorough understanding of client businesses, their policies, practices, industries and objectives
- Responsible for stewardship planning and conducting annual stewardship meeting
- Retains and develops accounts by:
- Collaborating with the client and team regarding the risk to the client for the most cost effective and proper insurance coverage
- Reviewing proposals which have been prepared by the Client Managers in order to evaluate and recommend coverage and program alternatives
- Assisting clients with understanding plan design, funding, administration options for insurance program renewals
- Reviewing all program calculations and reports for accuracy prior to client delivery
- Managing the client cycle and monitor timeframes and renewal deadlines
- Assessing client needs and questions and reviews options with clients
- Regularly ensuring that all policies are renewed on a timely basis
- Periodically reviewing documents for accuracy prior to customer delivery
- Providing additional resources for the client as needed including but not limited to access to outside vendors and third party administrators
- Analyze data to draw conclusions and recommend findings to client
- Service clients in accordance with professional service standards, E&O Plus management guidelines, and other practice guidelines; including legal and regulatory requirements
- Understands and stays current within technical and professional standards
- Ensure legislative, regulatory and technical developments are appropriately communicated to clients.
- Professionally represent RCM&D to clients/carriers/vendors
- Possess a thorough understanding within your business area of concentration
- Possess strong presentation skills capabilities, with the ability to focus on and address client’s key needs and concerns
- Produce high quality work
- Keep informed of all new sales programs. Attend and present company sponsored seminar and educational activities, including staff webinars/seminars, necessary to maintain product knowledge and underwriting expertise
- Thorough understanding of ABS system and other relevant software products
- Able to manage intermediate engagement and tasks efficiently and accurately
- Possess effective communication skills, both written and oral, internally and externally
- Be recognized as a team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn and teach
- Delegate work appropriately
- Proactively provide clients with relevant information (industry developments) throughout the year to create and maintain client loyalty
- Manage and meet the expectations of co-workers and clients
- Be able to work within a team and independently
- Maintain and grow a designated book of business as outlined in individual incentive plans
- Regularly produce new business that generates revenue meeting the annual goals of the department
- Review policy coverage and identifies cross-selling and additional revenue opportunities
- Participate in networking activities
- Extend services to existing clients through individual efforts
- Actively involved in billing and collecting process to insure timely billing and collection
Additional Job Duties:
- Participate in any special projects at management’s request.
- Additional job duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Required to Successfully Perform the Essential Job Duties:
- College degree or professional equivalent
- Three to five years experience handling accounts at a high level of responsibility
- Ability to effectively and accurately perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Must possess strong analytical skills
- Problem solving skills
- Possess effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills to communicate both internally and externally
- Knowledge and skills in effective use of office equipment, primarily computer, telephone, fax machine, copier and calculator.
Other Qualifications:
- Maintain Licenses, Certifications and Registrations required to successfully perform the essential job functions; appropriate jurisdictional licenses as required.
- Advanced insurance designations, such as CIC, CPCU, CEBS, CLU or other pertinent designations desirable.
- Life and Health, Property and Casualty desired for cross-selling opportunities.
