Cleared Sr. Hardware Engineer

Bestgate Engineering has an exciting opportunity for a Cleared Sr. Hardware Engineer to join a newly awarded Cyber effort and we are seeking a talented individual to contribute to the success of this mission-critical program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the design of new products and processes, as well as the enhancement and maintenance of existing products.
• Collaborate closely with engineering team members to ensure coordinated design efforts and successful project completion.
• Conduct thorough design analysis on components and assemblies to ensure cost-effectiveness, manufacturability, and reliability.
• Utilize ASIC or FPGA place and route (P&R) tools in conjunction with various libraries to create physical design implementations.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for the P&R design workflows.
• Assist in the extraction of electronic components and retrieval of stored firmware or software through approved reverse engineering protocols.
• Engage with tool and library providers to devise solutions for challenges encountered in P&R design processes.

Qualifications:

• Eight (8) or more years of experience as a Hardware or Embedded Engineer.
• Proven experience in designing and testing integrated circuits and hardware components.
• Proficiency in ASIC or FPGA place and route (P&R) tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Familiarity with reverse engineering procedures is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field is preferred.
• Required Security Clearance: TS/SCI w/Poly
