LevelUp Force has an immediate opportunity for a Senior Microwave Engineer - Hardware to support one of our prestigious Broadband Satellite Network Provider customers in Germantown, MD.
This is a Direct-Hire position with our client that includes a comprehensive benefits package
Work schedule is Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays Onsite at the Germantown, MD office and Wednesdays Remote.
Responsibilities:
- Apply knowledge of Electrical Engineering, Analog Circuit Design, Radio Frequency (RF) Circuit Design, and Microwave Signal Theory to lead aspects of the development and qualification of Circuits such as: Phase Locked Oscillators, Power Amplifiers, Low Noise Amplifiers, Mixers, Filters, and Up & Down converters.
- Research and select the components for RF & Microwave products under development and plan and execute the electrical engineering schematic capture necessary for the product development process.
- Plan and execute design verification testing, product failure analysis, and prepare all test documentation.
- Execute electrical engineering tasks to support the company’s efforts to analyze and resolve product and process problems.
- Define and select new concepts and approaches; modify available materials, electrical components and process specifications to meet new product requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in an Electrical Engineering field with 10+ years of experience with RF/Microwave Design, or
- Master’s degree in an Electrical Engineering field with major in Microwave Engineering and 8+ years of experience with RF/Microwave design.
- Solid experience working in a hardware lab setting conducting laboratory tests using RF equipment like spectrum analyzers, power meters, vector analyzers, network analyzers, oscilloscopes, sources, mixers, filters, amplifiers, receivers, and circuit optimization (comfortable with passive rework using solder iron).
- 8+ years of programming skills in LabView, Python, or similar language.
- Experience using Simulation tools like ADS / Spice / HFSS.
- Solid prototyping and debugging skills.
- Understanding of digital communication theory.
- Experience designing electrical engineering design to support RF and Microwave circuit design a plus.
- Excellent written, interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across different Engineering groups (i.e. Mechanical, QA, Materials Engineers) to take design to mass production.
Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance.
