Based in beautiful Colorado Springs, CO, this role requires 80% on-site presence with the option to work from home one day each week.

This Cleared Project Engineer 3 - Advanced Programs Tech Lead provides technical leadership on projects of varying size and complexity throughout the entire engineering lifecycle; from contract award through system acceptance testing and post-delivery support. This role guides multi-functional teams of hardware, software, DSP, Space Domain Awareness engineers, and analysts and is the Customer's primary interface for all technical matters relating to the project.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
• Understand customer needs and map them to technical solutions
• Uses knowledge of at least one scripting or programming language (e.g. Python, MATLAB, etc) to support the development, testing, and delivery of systems, solutions, and data
• Coordinate a multi-disciplinary team to create systems and solutions to solve customer needs
• Support verification and troubleshooting of the technical solutions provided by the development staff by designing and executing demonstrations and tests
• Support the Project Manager in the creation and status of project schedule and financial performance
• Articulate technical concepts orally and in written forms to the customer, users, and the development team
• Willing to travel to provide customer support (typically 10% CONUS travel)



• TS/SCI Clearance
• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related degree and at least 2 years relevant work or 6 years operational experience (willing to consider a range of work and educational levels)
• Willingness to learn, take ownership, and deliver high-quality results in an unstructured environment
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. U.S. citizenship is required.

Desired Skills / Experiences (Not required, but a plus):
• Basic knowledge of satellite operations, signal processing, digital communications theory, network communications,
• Sufficient programming skills in at least one programming language that enables the candidate to write code and applications to support the analysis, testing, deployment, and troubleshooting of solutions
• Experience in coordinating requirements with the customer, defining/architecting a solution to satisfy them, and developing the test methodology to verify them
• Experience in leading a technical team comprised of a diverse group of engineers across multiple disciplines
• Proficiency with basic test equipment, such as Spectrum Analyzer, Oscilloscope, etc.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to interact directly with customers

Competitive salary based on experience and education
Salary Range: $100,000 - $150,000
