HSS is looking for a Lead Housekeeper for our luxury client in Lake Tahoe.

This position is perfect for someone local that is looking for a year around position that wants to grow in the hospitality industry as a leader. This supervisor will have the opportunity to grow with the team and be actively integrated in the hotels success.
This Housekeeper Supervisor will lead the small team of 3-4 people while continuing to clean, inspect and make sure the rooms are up to standards. The hotel is a luxury boutique with 38 rooms.
Job Duties
- Enter guest rooms following procedures for gaining access and ensuring vacancy before entering
- Replace guest amenities and supplies in rooms
- Replace dirty linens and terry with clean items
- Make beds and fold terry
- Clean bathrooms
- Remove trash, dirty linen, and room service items
- Check that all appliances are present in the room and in working order
- Straighten desk items, furniture, and appliances
- Dust, polish, and remove marks from walls and furnishings
- Vacuum carpets and perform floor care duties (e.g., in guest rooms and hallway)
- Maintain correct inventories of all cleaning supplies
- Complete all special projects in a timely manner
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested
Requirements
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to our standards; anticipate and address guests' service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation
- Use all equipment and cleaning supplies correctly and in accordance with safety standards
- Push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related equipment over sloping and uneven surfaces
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
- Stand, sit, kneel, or walk for an extended period across an entire work shift
- Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
- Move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance and more than 25 pounds with assistance
- Handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, fast paced environment
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
Staff Training and Communication Responsibilities
- Train and monitor room attendants to ensure that standards of service and cleanliness are understood and followed
- Communicate accurate information actively and in a timely manner to all colleagues
- Give feedback to room attendants in a positive and encouraging manner in order to maintain overall high performance
Qualifications
- At least 3 years' experience in full-service hotel or resort environment or similar
- Excellent team player, oriented to details
- Positive,engaging , and energetic personality
- English communication skills (written and verbal); some Spanish preferred
