POSITION EXPECTATIONS
Position Expectations
The Production Manager reports to the Clearance Center Manager and handles all production goal tracking, quality and quantity checks as well as managing the Clearance Center Production staff. The position acts as a primary key holder and fills in for the Clearance Center Manager when out of the office.
Responsibilities
- Achieves daily, weekly, and monthly production goals for the Clearance Center, reaching out to senior management when short on donations.
- Ensures every rack/cart of processed goods receives a quality, quantity review.
- Performs a salvage audit daily to ensure the quality of the donated goods on the floor and quality donations are not in salvage processing.
- Communicates with the Clearance Center management team the Central Warehouse needs to ensure production and sales goals will be met.
- Sorts and ensures training for E-Commerce categories, brands, etc.
- Handles computer interaction for emails, reports, and other required communication to management.
- Trains and coaches new and existing staff to follow the Production Manual Guidelines, picture process maps (PPM’s), production metrics and pricing guidelines. Holds staff accountable for meeting processing goals.
- Ensures quality customer service is presented and provided by team members in a timely and courteous manner to all customers, donors, and other team members.
- Ensures that the Clearance Center and surrounding premises are kept clean and free of safety hazards, and safety procedures are understood and followed by all Clearance Center team members.
- Provides general Clearance Center Management when the Clearance Center Manager is out of the office.
- Collects all found money and donated jewelry daily and hands in daily. Processes necessary paperwork and subsequent functions. Completes other assignments or projects designated by Clearance Center management team.
Education, Experience, and Requirements
- High school/ GED completion preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of retail production supervisory experience preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years goal setting and tracking experience preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years handling salvage or similar type of audits preferred.
- Must be able to continuously perform repetitive work, at a set pace.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite software including a strong emphasis on Word and Excel.
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills with excellent communication skills.
- Bilingual a plus.
- Exhibits a high level of integrity and business ethics. Exhibits a high level of adaptability and flexibility.
Environmental Factors
- Duties will be conducted at the Clearance Center, warehouse, or other assigned Goodwill locations where no cooling or heating will be available. Exposure to extreme heat, cold, dust, animal hair and sometimes humidity.
Physical Factors
- Able to lift, carry, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Prolonged standing, walking, reaching, stooping, lifting, pulling, bending, kneeling.
