Job Description
- Deliver nursery plants and products to various destinations with efficiency and care.
- Execute safe loading and offloading practices to maintain the integrity of merchandise.
- Employ CDL expertise for effective route navigation.
- Exhibit professionalism in client and supplier interactions.
- Drive to West Texas for deliveries occasionally during spring, including overnight stays returning on Saturdays.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness for trucks and trailers.
- Assist with taking vehicles for inspections, shop repairs, or picking up materials for the farm.
- Consistent work schedule with an assurance of 6-8 hours of work even on days without scheduled loads.
- Must have a valid Class A CDL license with airbrake endorsement.
- 2-3 years of experience with a clean driving record is required
- Proficient in independently loading and offloading cargo.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service prowess.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Previous experience with tractor-trailer and standard transmission.
- Bilingual is a plus.
- Experience in transportation of nursey plants or related items is a plus, however, will train.
- Demonstrated hard-working attitude and the ability to engage in physical yard work
