Our Commercial Property adjusters are responsible for servicing unique business owners, condominium associations and homeowner associations insured by primary and reinsurance carriers. Our commercial adjusters are experienced and comfortable working with public adjusters, engineers, building consultants and attorneys on alternate dispute resolution, appraisals, and mediation.
*This position is a 100% remote U.S. based opportunity. Some travel for day-to-day work, team meetings, and training will be required.
Key Responsibilities: (What you'll be asked to do)

• Act as the primary point of contact to investigate and analyze the company's liability concerning first party Commercial Property losses and or damages.
• Experience handling complex Commercial Property losses ranging from $50,000 up to 1M+.
• Ensure that all assigned claims are resolved timely, reserved accurately, and handled fairly and in compliance with company guidelines.
• Effectively communicate with policyholders, agents, and service providers to accurately document claim details using our claims management systems.
• Evaluate and apply the insurance policy coverage, this includes the accurate determination of claims payments and coverage declination.
• Ability to understand, computer generated loss estimates and construction terminology.
• Document Commercial Property claims files by maintaining comprehensive claim handling notation in our electronic claims management system and other related applications
• You may be asked to assist with CAT assignments as needed.

The Successful Candidate: (what we're looking for)

• You come to us with a proven track record of handling claims and complex Commercial Property losses.
• You have a technical claims background and hands-on experience in loss estimating, commercial policy coverages, and construction. Maybe you were a field adjuster in a previous life?
• Both internal (your peers) and external clients commend your excellent written and verbal communication skills and the timeliness of your follow-up.
• You're detail oriented, organized and can multi-task like nothing anyone has ever seen before!
• You're a get the job done, self-starter that thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Some Requirements:

• You are currently licensed or eligible for licensing as an adjuster in the states of: CA, FL, NY, MA, WA, IL, and AL (we can provide assistance with your licensing fees).
• You come to us with 5+ years of experience as a desk adjuster in the homeowner/property field.
• Previous Commercial Property experience required.

Education:

• High School Diploma or its equivalent (GED) is required.

Computer Skills:

• Must be proficient with MS Office and other internal insurance related programs, systems or applications. (Outlook, Word and Excel)
• Ability to communicate effectively using programs such as Slack & MS Teams. You are comfortable sharing screens and video chatting.
• Previous experience using systems such as Symbility is a plus.
