We are seeking a highly motivated Claims Administrator to join our Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS) and Human Resources (HR) Team. You will play a vital role in processing and managing claims throughout the claim lifecycle. You will ensure claims are processed and managed in accordance with Enterprise Policies & Procedures, Insurance Company Requirements, and Regulating Agencies (Workers Comp, OSHA, DOT, etc.).

You will work closely with the EHS Manager, Location Leaders, HR Managers, involved Employee Owners, and Third-Party claim partners.

This is an onsite role with the potential to be remote or hybrid as appropriate. You will be able to work onsite in Galt, CA or, if remotely (Pacific or Central Time zones preferred).

What You’ll Do:

  • Enter, process, and manage General Liability, Motor Vehicle Accident, and Workers Compensation claims throughout the claim lifecycle.
  • Ensure claims are processed and managed in accordance with Enterprise Policies & Procedures, Insurance Company Requirements, and Regulating Agencies (Workers Comp, OSHA, DOT, etc.).
  • Maintain organized and detailed records of all claims, including but not limited to, documentation, all forms of communication, investigations, updates, settlements, etc.
  • Partner with all levels of employee owners and their managers to ensure claim information and documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant.
  • Ensure internal incident investigations are accurate, complete, and compliant; follow up with respective partners as needed.
  • Collaborate with appropriate departments, such as legal, EHS, HR, Risk Management, Finance, Payroll, Locations, etc. to ensure claims are processed properly.
  • Communicate with claimants, agents, stakeholders to provide information, updates, and instructions in a professional and timely manner.
  • Review and audit claim files to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with established guidelines.
  • Generate reports on claim metrics, performance, and outcomes for management and stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3-5 years related work experience.
  • Prior claims administrative experience in at least one of the following areas: General Liability, Motor Vehicle or Worker’s Compensation
  • Relevant Benefits or Leave of Absence Administration is a plus
  • High School Diploma; bachelor’s degree preferable.
  • Advanced communication skills, including the ability to review documents for content, structure, and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; able to multi-task effectively in dynamic environment.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion, and sound judgment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and integrity.
  • Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with HRIS systems and Smartsheet preferred.
