In the role ofCivil/Highway Designer/EIT, we'll count on you to:
The primary duties of the Civil/Highway Designer/EIT will include working to produce design criteria, design plans, design calculations, cost estimates and specifications for highway and/or site/civil projects. It is expected that the candidate be a team player ready to work in a collaborative environment within the NY/NJ Civil/Highway Section
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work on a team with other project engineers on the detailed design of highway and/or site/civil projects.
- Take responsibility for alignment and profiles, geometrics, site-grading, drainage, and the development of plans and construction estimates.
- Provide assistance with the creation and submission of technical reports, specifications and calculations.
- Perform other duties as needed.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or transportation engineering related field
- EIT or ability to obtain. Candidates hired without EIT designation will have the title of "Civil/Highway Designer" and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.
- Auto-CAD and/or Microstation experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in civil engineering, preferably in highway and/or site/civil design.
- Preferred candidates will have EIT designation or plan to become certified soon after hire date.
- Preference given to local candidates.

Typical starting pay range for this position is $71,000.00 - $85,000.00 annually depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
