Civil/Enviromental Engineering Intern

Carollo Engineers is a internationally recognized environmental engineering firm that specializes in planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater facilities. We are seeking Civil/Environmental Engineering Intern to join our Oklahoma City team to help develop water and wastewater treatment and conveyance designs, support corresponding construction projects, and participate in an innovative water distribution engineering study focused on water quality throughout a large distribution system. This position is onsite and will require frequent trips to various pilot plant and construction sites, so the applicant must reside within commuting distance of Oklahoma City and have transportation.

• Perform engineering work in various engineering fields (water and wastewater treatment, distribution and collection systems, and engineering services during construction).
• Participate in field activities such as site investigations, water quality testing, and pilot plant operations.
• Assist with the operation and maintenance of multiple pipe-loop skids at Draper and Hefner WTPs in Oklahoma City. Duties may consist of collecting water samples, performing various tests, chemical dosing, data collection and observing mechanical operations.
• Assist with sample preparation for analysis and/or shipping to other laboratories.
• Assist with the preparation of technical memoranda, reports, and other electronic deliverables.
• Maintain accurate and complete data entry logs and perform data analysis.
• Travel within the Oklahoma City area will be required.  Applicants must provide their own transportation.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Finishing or completed junior year of college.
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Experience and/or coursework in water/wastewater treatment and conveyance.
• Experience with technical laboratory equipment and tools.
• Previous related internship experience a plus, but not required.
• Licensed as an Engineer Intern (EI) or scheduled to take the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE/EIT) exam.
• Experience using CAD software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit, Sketch Up).
