We offer civil and structural engineering, planning + landscape architecture, survey, and construction inspection services to public and private clients throughout Texas.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
As a Civil Technician I, you'll perform basic computer-aided design tasks using AutoCAD, drawing sketches, and layouts, and manipulating design tools. Responsibilities include preparing quantity takeoffs, conducting property research, and assisting with various assigned duties.
Once selected to join our team, you will:
- Perform basic computer-aided design assignments through AutoCAD functions and drafting techniques, under the supervision of an engineer and/or Discipline Lead.
- Draw sketches, layouts, and drawings usually from existing preliminary drawings prepared by others.
- Assist in manipulating design tools in CADD software for creating and labeling construction documents.
- Prepare quantity takeoffs of design elements.
- Conduct property and existing utility research as needed on specific projects with supervision.
- Other duties as assigned
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
KNOWLEDGE:
- 0-2 years of hands-on experience in computer-aided drafting.
- Proficiency in drafting concepts, CAD fundamentals, and a solid understanding of civil infrastructure.
- Ability to utilize design tools in CAD software, with specific competence in Civil 3D/Microstation.
- Working knowledge and proficiency with MS Office and Bluebeam.
- CAD certificate preferred.

EXPERIENCE:
- Basic understanding of drafting concepts and CAD fundamentals, and civil infrastructure.
- Proficiency in manipulating design tools in CAD software, including Civil 3D/MicroStation.
- Familiarity with MS Office and Bluebeam.
EDUCATION:
Associate’s Degree or Technical School Graduate in Computer-Aided Drafting & Design.
