BGE, Inc. needs a CAD Technician/DesignerAutoCAD or MicroStation with a Civil engineering background, located in our Central Texas Region. Reside in any of our 3 offices in Central Tx Region: North Austin (Round Rock), South Austin (Directors Blvd), or San Antonio (San Pedro Ave).

Responsibilities:
- Use Autodesk Civil 3D to perform accurate drafting and annotation for plan, profile and detail sheets for transportation, public works, utilities, water, sewer, paving and drainage construction plans.
- or.... Use Bentley Products (MicroStation) to plan, schedule, perform and coordinate production work associated with water, sewer, paving and drainage construction plans.
- Experience with MicroStation, Power Geopak, ProjectWise, and OpenRoads 3D Modeling software.
- Complete redlines for modification of existing plans and notes or preparation of new details or design elements.
- Complete construction plan sets by compiling all plan, profile, note and detail sheets to present a comprehensive design.
Requirements:
- 2 or more years of experience in Civil Engineering drafting.
- Technical degree or certification in Autodesk Civil 3D or Micro station.
- Demonstrated experience without technical degree or certification may be considered.
- Ability to become proficient in both drafting programs listed above is expected.
- Experience working with engineers and senior designers.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to work in a fast–paced environment dedicated to meeting deadlines.
- Have a working knowledge of CAD standards, features and annotation styles, line styles, sheet set manager and drawing setup.
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing multi-step tasks.
- Willingness to learn and expand capabilities.
- Ability to work in a team and work well with others.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
