Our growing Fort Collins transportation group is seeking to hire a full-time transportation engineer. You'll be working with a great group of people on a diverse array of projects. As a new employee, you won't just work anonymously on a conveyor belt of projects. On any given day, you'll:
- Perform design engineering duties including the use of Civil 3D and/or OpenRoads for the design of projects under the supervision of the Project Manager.
- Prepare design documents, including project reports, calculation of quantities, plans production, and specifications.
- Build effective working relationships with other employees and clients.
- Coordinate with public agencies and attend project meetings under supervision of the Project Manager.
- Perform construction engineering duties including the field layout of projects, quantity measurement, record keeping, materials testing, and general inspection transportation related projects for state and local clients.
Required qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in transportation and roadway design and/or construction.
- 2-5 Years of related engineering experience.
- A valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Willingness to travel out of town for periods of time for various construction projects.
Desired skills and experiences:
- Self-motivated individual who works well in a team environment.
- Ability to walk over uneven terrain and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam (FE).
- Knowledge of Civil3D and/or OpenRoads computer software
- Experience on highway and bridge projects (preferably following CDOT design guidance).
- Experience with construction observation/administration.
Our good-faith compensation approach is fair and equitable, and takes into consideration only permissible factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, training, skills, and experience, and geographic location where the work is performed. A salary range for this posting is $70000 - $80000 / year. The foregoing salary range represents what the company believes, in good-faith, it will pay for the posted opportunity. The individual selected for this role will be evaluated with the compensation factors in mind and placed appropriately.
