HIRING SALARY RANGE: $68,140 - $84,156
*Hiring salary will be dependent upon applicant's education, experience, skill level, and other job specific qualifications*

Duties and Responsibilities
- Review professional-level civil construction plans, plats, and stormwater reports for compliance with the stormwater management regulations and engineering best practices.
- Assist in the design of stormwater improvement projects and assist with contracts for drainage studies and engineering designs.
- Perform drainage studies, obtain required stormwater permits, and prepare/review public outreach materials with direction.
- Implement effective water quality programs such as sediment control during construction, post-construction BMP inspections, education on BMP maintenance, and targeting non-point source pollution.
- Coordinate with contractors, County field operations, asset management, stormwater inspectors, consulting engineers, surveyors, utility representatives, and other officials in order to effectively perform plan reviews, stormwater design, and manage stormwater projects.
- Respond to citizen's inquiries regarding drainage issues, maintenance, or permitting.
- Attend meetings, conferences, workshops and training sessions and review materials to become and remain current on the principles, practices, and new developments in assigned work areas.
- Provide support to other engineers, project managers, inspectors, and admin staff as needed.
- Designated to report to work during hazardous weather or emergency conditions.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field with a minimum of 0-2 years of progressively responsible experience in stormwater management, engineering, or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work. Licensure as Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must have knowledge of engineering fundamentals. Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret construction drawings, stormwater Hydraulic and Hydrological calculations, technical reports, specifications, and regulatory documents. Basic CAD, GIS, and Stormwater modeling experience is preferred and is complimentary to the position. Must communicate verbally and in written form in a clear and concise manner, work under pressure within critical periods, work various jobs at the same time, interpret various codes and regulations, and must be able to operate a personal computer. A valid SC driver's license or the ability to obtain one upon acceptance of the position is required.
