POSITION RESPONSIBILITY:
As a Miller-Valentine Asssociate, you will assist in the overall technical direction for projects under design development. Under direction of experienced project development team, you will be proactively working on the forefront of client driven project development.
POSITION DUTIES INCLUDING:
- Drive in-house conceptual design, determine project feasibility through developing CAD site plans.
- Review applicable jurisdictional code requirements and interpret how they apply to the project.
- Coordinates/ interprets design requirements with designers.
- Interact with surveyors, geotechnical & environmental consultants.
- Manage the permitting process.
- Aide in & vendor solicitation & project budgets.
- Shop Drawing and submittal review.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Associates Degree in Civil Engineering Technology or a related degree from an accredited College or University.
- Proficient knowledge of CAD, Excel, and Word. Working knowledge of estimating.
LANGUAGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Interpretation of topography maps and overlay property lines, building footprints & provide site logistics direction for traffic & utilities. Ability to read property legal description and interpret Meets & Bounds. Ability to effectively present information on site & jurisdictional restrictions.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
