Civil Engineer Designer

Bachelor'sRadin Consulting, Inc., a transportation planning and design firm, is looking for a full-time Civil Engineer in the NYC Metro area. Candidate should have strong skills in engineering analysis, development of construction, documents (plans and specifications), cost estimating, and construction administration. The position is remote at this time but may require office presence in NYC later. Salary range is competitive and will be based on qualifications and experience. Excellent benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or master’s degree in Civil Engineering.

• 5+ years of experience.

• Prepare engineering design and work with other team members for support

• Strong quantitative skills

• Demonstrated educational and relevant work experience showing strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills

• Familiarity with elements of the design-bid-build process including engineering analysis, development of construction, documents (plans and specifications), cost estimating, and construction administration

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and working knowledge with Hydrologic and Hydraulic design software programs (HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HydroCAD, etc.)

• Experience in utility agreement and relocations

• In depth knowledge of AutoCAD/ Civil 3D required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering documents/reports including preparing descriptive charts, maps, tables, etc.

• Work closely with project managers to support clients with Civil Engineering design for stormwater, wastewater, resiliency/mitigation, and civil/site projects

• Conduct/support design analysis through application of quantitative and qualitative evaluation techniques,

• Prepare specifications and plans.

• Perform calculations to support planning and design objectives

• Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensures conformance to design specifications and safety or sanitation standards

• Work with other team members to support assignments related to civil and environmental projects

• Assist with quality control and quality assurance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
