We are currently seeking a full-time Civil Designer to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Job Snapshot:

As aCivil Designerworking with CAD and MicroStation, GEOPAK and OpenRoads. you will support a wide range of civil, geotechnical, and environmental design projects for Energy, Transportation, Industrial, and Government clients.. You will possess a strong understanding of drafting associated with the civil engineering design work process. Skills necessary for this position include:

• Support engineering units with various tasks including MicroStation/OpenRoads operations, 3D terrain model development, and construction document creation.
• Produce final plans and related reports i.e. estimates.
• Use prior design experience to address potential issues, contribute to design standards, and collaborate on multi-discipline projects with creativity and effective communication.
• Assist the team develop and refine design and drafting standards for projects.
• Collect data from engineers and use the information to create construction documents, schematics, and exhibits.
• Interact & communicate effectively with others including consulting firms

Required Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in Design Technology/CAD
• 5+ years of working experience
• Proficiency in Microstation, Bentley Products. Including Microstation, Inroads, Geopak, OpenRoads, and projectwise. Also, AutoCAD 2020 and related Civil 3D
• Fundamental working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
• Must be organized and schedule-driven to work on multiple projects in various stages of design
• Ability to think critically, manage time and problem solve
• Complete competence in working well independently and on a team

Preferred Qualifications:

• Basic understanding of civil engineering design practices
