Home to North Carolina since 1985, DSA Engineering has two offices located in Raleigh and Wilmington.
As a Civil Engineer Designer in our Raleigh office, you will help design creative and sustainable engineering solutions, pave the way forward for modern medicine advancements, scientific research and provide a better foundation for the future.
Responsibilities
In your new role, you will assist Civil Engineers with the day-to-day tasks for designing various district energy infrastructure systems. These tasks will include, but are not limited to:
· Drafting
· 3D Modeling
· Design of underground utilities including chilled water, heating water, steam, power distribution, domestic water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer
· Completing Field Surveys
· Writing Specifications
· Participating in Project Meetings
· Multi-Disciplined Coordination
· Supporting Construction-Phase Work
Civil engineering designers will perform tasks under direct supervision of professional engineers to produce accurate permitting, bidding, construction drawings, and other various documents that may be required for each project. In this position, designers will continue to learn about utility infrastructure and site development practices as well as industry specific design requirements such as municipal regulations and National Electric Code. Target markets include healthcare, higher education, thermal utility generation, and campus power distribution.
Qualifications
Experience Desired:
- BSCE from ABET accredited school
- Leadership involvement in extracurricular activities/student organizations preferred
- Passed the FE exam a plus
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
