The ideal candidate is proficient with technology, has excellent organizational and communication skills, and has experience in the non-profit sector working closely with various stakeholders including local churches, service providers, and Community organizations to ensure program participants have access to essential resources and support services. This role works in tandem with the virtual services team to identify, develop, and map resources and referral partners in every community where program participants are placed (in-kind, education, employment, housing, healthcare, etc.).

Role & Responsibilities

Create and develop CCE program for virtual services that includes goals, risk mitigation, and program alignment across the Virtual office:
  • Assist and/or lead the hiring process for virtual services Church and Community Engagement positions;
  • Provide training and ongoing professional development for all new direct reports;
  • Establish goals, provide performance reviews and follow-up on individual goals;
  • Problem solve with staff and provide regular updates to the Community Engagement Manager;
  • Facilitate a team culture based on integral mission principles that integrates Church and Community partners into relevant aspects of work;
  • Participate in internal and external meetings.
Architect and manage Community Engagement strategy, metrics, and essential support systems needed to engage key stakeholders:
  • Oversee the building of a comprehensive community resource library and connecting it to technology solutions;
  • Manage metric/goal progress and the necessary CCE reporting;
  • Recruit and maintain partnerships for equipping, advocating, giving, and serving;
  • Liaison with national CCE Team Operations Specialist to develop and maintain communication process flows and collaboration lines.
Coach and cultivate team specialists focused on community resource coordination and church partnerships:
  • Set quarterly goals and metrics for community partnership development;
  • Ensure that the day-to-day coordination of resources is streamlined and easily accessible to both staff and the participants we serve;
  • Ensure case management staff are well equipped to support, connect or refer participants to beneficial resources;
  • Position Churches of Welcome to integrate effectively with other church engagement activities.
Analyze trends and search for emerging opportunities in new geographies:
  • Collaborate regularly with team members to ensure our services are synchronized across the Virtual Services program;
  • Conduct comprehensive Community Resource Mapping based on the 9 stability factors by identifying a variety of goods and services available within the community that align with the participants' needs;
  • Report forecasts for resource accessibility at all geographic levels and provides an in-depth analysis of the latest challenges and opportunities;
  • Work cross-departmentally to increase and build Community Engagement partnership and strategies for programmatic work;
  • Meet regularly with Case Management Specialists to ensure healthy resettlement of participants;
  • Communicate regularly with service providers to ensure updated and relevant information is available to participants;
  • Develop process flows to insure integration of external resources in case management services;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Demonstrated success working and communicating effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Experience in managing a team of five or more members.
  • Highly self-motivated and comfortable working independently towards role-specific, department, and office-wide goals.
  • Experience in community asset mapping or community outreach preferred.
  • Ability to speak clearly and comfortably on the phone with partners and participants, which include people with limited English abilities and/or the use of interpreters.
  • Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills combined with the proven ability to multi-task, prioritize duties, and manage time effectively.
  • Proven success achieving goals and working effectively with all levels of staff in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment and ability to provide accountability to ensure objectives are met.
  • Experience in refugee resettlement or fluency in immigration issues.
  • Previous experience working in a virtual environment preferred

  • Personal embodiment and thought leadership in integral mission.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working in the non-profit sector.
  • Demonstrated communication skills and ability to communicate with clarity over virtual platforms.
  • Expertise with digital communication tools, such as Zoom, MS Teams, and other platforms.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
$65,000-70,000
