Position:Elementary School Teacher
The Sent Christian School is seeking highly motivated and qualified teachers for the role of Elementary Teacher. Our teachers should have a comprehensive knowledge of grade level-standards, a strong personal teaching philosophy, and demonstrate creativity and passion in their teaching style.

Job Description: The Elementary Teacher will cultivate a safe and positive learning environment that meets the social, emotional, intellectual, physical, and spiritual needs of every student. The 2nd grade class will have a maximum of 12 students.
The Elementary Teacher shall have the following duties and responsibilities:
1. Classroom Management: The teacher should be able to effectively manage the students’ behavior and utilize positive discipline strategies.
2. Organization: The teacher is responsible for keeping the classroom neat and tidy, and filing all student assignments and work in an organized manner.
4. Instruction and Planning. The teacher will give daily lessons to the class and be able to teach all subject matter using a structured curriculum provided by the school. He/she should develop age-appropriate lesson plans and engaging activities that promote curiosity, exploration and creativity.
5. Assessment: The teacher should record and document observations, and track student’s development throughout the year, noting any areas of concern. The teacher should continually perform informal and formal assessments of the students to identify how they are progressing academically.
7. Communication: The teacher should communicate effectively (written and verbally) with the parents and school regarding the child’s behavior, academic progress, and work habits.
Elementary Teacher Qualifications:
1. State Teaching Credential or ACSI Certificate
2. Bachelor’s Degree in education related field
3. 3-5 years of experience preferred
4. Current First Aid/CPR Certification

Our teacher salary is based on a 10-month contract (Aug - June). Compensation will reflect experience, education, with additional bonuses available with outstanding performance.
