The Chip Manufacturing Technician position is responsible for conducting quality control tests on incoming production materials, consumables, and finished goods by following established SOP’s. This is an on-site position based out of our headquarters in Menlo Park, CA.
- Performs minor maintenance on equipment.
- Follow SOP to fabricate Deepcell custom fluidic chips.
- Suggests process improvement tasks and helps update related SOPs.
- Produces biochip consumables by following established manufacturing SOP’s.
- Conducts quality control tests. Records results and failures into the database system.
- Performs incoming material qualification tasks and line restocking.
- Suggests and assists on process improvement tasks.
- Assists in troubleshooting technical production issues.
- Daily cleaning to maintain cleanroom equipment maintenance and calibration.
- AS in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Bioengineering) or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of industrial experience in manufacturing positions in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, semiconductor, or closely related fields
- Previous experience in following material testing protocol
- Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic, fast-paced and multi-disciplinary environment
- Strong teamwork ethic and the commitment to successfully deliver within tight deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High accuracy and attention to detail for laboratory and office-based work
- Familiarity and interests with biotechnology and microfluidics is preferred
