Licensed Clinician Master Level
Qualifications
Must hold a Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work from an accredited university. Must hold a current license granted by the licensing board in the state in which you are providing services.
Main Functions
Provide psychotherapeutic services to clients and families in all SFCC programs and communities by taking a holistic and evidence-based approach.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities
· Care for all of SFCC’s diverse population including but not limited to clients and their families.
· Place special emphasis on the relationship between mind and body, paying special attention to issues of stress and physical illness, prevention, and behavior change.
· Diagnose from the latest version of the DSM. Diagnose clients with comorbid conditions.
· Maintain appropriate assessment and progress records and of any additional contact with clientsand their families.
· Consult with and receive supervision from SFCC’s psychiatrist and/or psychologist and staff team regarding clients.
· Work with the clinical team on developing treatment plans for all clients.
· Attend all staff meeting and provide additional staff recommendations.
· Teach and consult with all staff. Supervise assigned SFCC Undergraduate and/or Graduate Level Interns.
· Provide services working in an integrated medical system with a dynamic group of dedicated professionals who strive to provide the best available clinical services to our clients.
· Provide evaluations; lead individual, group, family psychotherapy, and psychoeducational classes.
· Organize and lead skill-based psychotherapy groups.
· Emphasize the individual relationship with clients and make use of the multifaceted treatment options available to the SFCC facility, extensive staff, and resources.
· Provide parent training, education, and support groups.
· Develop, implement, and evaluate behavioral point sheets.
· Implement and follow the individual treatment plan for each client formulated on the evaluation. Treatment options include individual and group psychotherapy and possible referrals to other programs offered through our medical center or in the community.
· Provide a focused, integrative, and individualized treatment approach designed to help clients accept, and more effectively deal with, the realities of their life.
· Provide and develop an awareness and attention to the present moment from an accepting, non-judgmental stance. Help clients assume an active role in improving their self-care and in developing the most effective relationship with the realities of their lives.
· Inform all staff of any changes to treatment plans.
· Attend approved seminars and conferences as needed.
· Train and mentor SFCC undergraduate interns.
· Maintain a caseload of 15 clients or, at the discretion of SFCC’s program director, an alternate number.
· Maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times.
· Comply with all applicable ethical and regulatory requirements.
· Perform related duties as needed and appropriate to the provision of SFCC services.
