We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Childcare Provider to join our team, specializing in managing after-school activities and providing support for families with split household dynamics due to divorce. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety, well-being, and engagement of children in their care, with a strong emphasis on maintaining a positive and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- After-School Activities Coordination:
- Safely transport children to and from school and after-school activities promptly.
- Plan and organize age-appropriate and stimulating after-school activities.
- Supervise and actively engage children in recreational and educational activities.
- Split Family Management:
- Work closely with divorced or separated parents to understand custody arrangements, schedules, and specific requirements for each child.
- Foster effective communication between parents, keeping them informed about their child's well-being, activities, and accomplishments.
- Ensure a smooth transition for children between households, addressing any emotional or logistical challenges that may arise.
- Safety and Well-being:
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for children at all times.
- Be vigilant about children's safety during transportation, activities, and playtime.
- Administer basic first aid when necessary and communicate promptly with parents regarding any incidents or concerns.
- Communication:
- Regularly communicate with parents to provide updates on their child's progress, activities, and any relevant issues.
- Foster positive relationships with both parents to create a supportive and collaborative childcare environment.
- Flexibility and Adaptability:
- Demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changing schedules, unexpected events, or unique family circumstances.
- Be open to adjusting caregiving strategies based on the individual needs and preferences of each child.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in childcare, with a focus on after-school activities and managing split households.
- Pristine driving record with a reliable and well-maintained vehicle for transportation.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Understanding and empathy towards the challenges faced by children from split households.
