General Description of the Position:
- This position is responsible for the well-being of children, families, and staff;
- Maintaining compliance with State Minimum Standard Rules, State and Federal Agencies, and Center policies;
- responsible for the daily operation of the Center;
- communication with parents, staff, and all government agencies;
- ensures a safe and educational environment for children;
- manage all staff; manage curriculum;
- responsible for overall image of the Center; works under the direction of the owner of the Center

- Obtains appropriate TDFPS/Kids Laughing & Learning documentation for staff file.
- Maintains required training hours and certifications
- Reports absence/tardiness as outlined in staff handbook
- Handles emergencies calmly and effectively
- Maintains professional relationships with parents, staff, and children
- Adapts to program changes (schedules, classroom location, crisis situations, etc.) and takes initiative to locate appropriate alternatives to resume activities
- Responsible for compliance and understanding of program guidelines and TDFPS

- Responsibilities for Operation of Center
Administrative
- Meet and greet parents, visitors, children, and staff
- Ensure compliance at all times with all local, state, and federal agencies
- Point person for all local, state, and federal agencies
- Ensure all inspections are current and fees are paid
- Set up appointments as needed
- Develop marketing plan
- Works with owner for financial responsibilities
- Upkeep of past due parent accounts
- Oversees equipment and supply purchases
- Works with owner to ensure maintenance of facility and equipment
- Update policies as needed
- Computer literate
- Must be familiar with computer program used
Staff
- Supervision of all staff
- Oversee upkeep of child and staff files
- Oversee upkeep of staff files and training requirements
- Monthly staff meetings
- Staff schedules and time/off requests
- Ensure compliance for staff background checks
- Ensure new staff orientation
- Staff motivation
- Staff discipline
- Interview and hire all staff
- Curriculum
- Ensure appropriate curriculum the meets the needs for all ages and meets State requirements

Physical Demands/Environmental Factors
- Ability to work regular hours

- Must be able to interact and communicate with children in the classroom and on the playground
