Child Welfare Specialist II H23B
Annual Salary, $43,968.62 + Full State Employee Benefits.
Applicants who possess a Master's Degree in Social Work will be entitled to a salary incentive of an additional 5%.
On-call positions will receive an additional bonus ranging from $100 to $150 every two weeks, depending on responsibilities.

Travel: EXTENSIVE - Must possess a valid driver's license and must maintain required car insurance.
Preference may be given to candidates with 2 years of CW experience and who have completed the initial Child Welfare Specialist Academy.
Minimum Qualifications

• Master's Degree; or a Bachelor's Degree and one year of experience in professional social work.

Job Responsibilities

• The position serves as a Family Meeting Continuum (FMC) Facilitator, acting as a lead worker or backup supervisor that also provides ongoing case consultation within a specialized regional unit.
• Conducts Child Safety Meetings (CSM) to guide the decision-making process for determining the child's safety needs and the best intervention strategy during the Child Protective Services (CPS) investigation process.
• Position plans, facilitates, and documents family meetings throughout the life of the case in order to provide families with a consistent moderator of family information and case dynamics.
• Facilitators will act as accountability partners for meeting compliance, timeliness, and quality.
• Ability to work on a diverse team and directly with people from diverse backgrounds specifically racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, and disabilities.
