Child Welfare Specialist IV - H23D
Annual Salary: $58,847.88 + Full state employee benefits
Applicants who possess a Master's Degree in Social Work will be entitled to a salary incentive of an additional 5%.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Completion of the requirements for a Master's Degree plus two years of experience in professional social work in Child Welfare programs.
or
- A Bachelor's Degree and three years of experience in professional social work including two years in Child Welfare programs.
Job Responsibilities
Leadership position that serves as direct supervisor to a unit of Child Welfare Specialists.
- The position includes close coordination and consultation with CW Supervisors and District Directors regarding appropriate case actions and referrals, auditing, and tracking of referrals with providers to ensure and verify the delivery of contractual services.
- As a direct supervisor, the position is involved in the interviewing and selection of Child Welfare services staff; maintains personnel records and completes performance evaluations; monitors the unit's work assignments, turnover, staff experience, and case evaluation.
- Trains new staff performs case reviews and develops and administers in-service training programs.
- Conducts monthly staff meetings to discuss individual cases, training, and development.
- Ability to cultivate a supportive and inclusive work environment for all employees.
- Ability to work on a diverse team and directly with people from diverse backgrounds specifically racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, and disabilities.
