Child Welfare Caseworker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Welfare Specialist to join our team. As a Child Welfare Specialist, you will be responsible for providing support and intervention services to children and families in need. Your role will involve crisis management, social work, and Child Welfare to ensure the safety and well-being of children. Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and investigations to determine the safety of children
- Provide crisis intervention and support to families in need
- Develop and implement case plans to address the needs of children and families
- Collaborate with community resources to provide necessary services
- Monitor and evaluate progress of children and families involved in the Child Welfare system
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all interactions and interventions
- Advocate for the best interests of children within the legal system
- Provide counseling and support services to children who have experienced trauma or abuse
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as therapists and educators, to ensure comprehensive care for children

Skills:
- Strong crisis management skills to effectively handle emergency situations
- Knowledge of social work principles and practices in Child Welfare
- Understanding of child development and the impact of trauma on children
- Experience in childcare or working with children in a professional setting
- Excellent conflict management skills to resolve disputes between family members
- Proficient in crisis intervention techniques to provide immediate support during difficult situations
- Knowledge of child protective services laws, regulations, and procedures
- Familiarity with behavioral health services for children with mental health needs
- Ability to conduct motivational interviewing techniques to engage families in the change process
- Experience working with diverse populations, including low-income families and individuals

Pay: $3,400.00 - $4,795.00 per month
