This State Set Aside Contract requires employees to have a qualifying disability. This could include disabilities such as arthritis, asthma, orthopedic disorders, blindness or other visual impairments, lupus, cosmetic disfigurements, HIV/AIDS, epilepsy, hepatitis, lung disease, diabetes, head injuries, cancer, substance abuse, heart conditions, mental illnesses, intellectual disabilities, visual or hearing impairments, physical disabilities, and a variety of other disabilities.
MUST BE ABLE TO PROVIDE DOCUMENTATION FROM A THIRD PARTY, SUCH AS A HEALTH CARE PROVIDER.
Caseworker Support Coordinators (CSC) will be working together with DFPS caseworkers in providing supervision of children without placement (CWOP). Children can vary in age, but the primary population is youth ranging from 10 to 17 years of age. Responsibilities of the position include assisting the DFPS caseworker with monitoring children and ensuring their needs are met during their community location stay to include: safety, food, hygiene, education and entertainment/recreational activities.
Child Protective Svcs. Specialist III provide supervision during their preferred times, based on shift availability. Up to 40 hours per week. Full-time, but time worked must not exceed 40 hours per week.
Looking for individuals who have experience working with children who have experienced abuse and/or neglect, or have prior experience working for a child welfare agency.
Employees will be notified/contacted upon hiring and will report to their designated regional point of contact. Online training is provided and must be completed prior to signing up for and working any shifts. The employee and regional point of contact will be notified when training completion has been verified and employee is ready to begin work.
Travel mileage will be reimbursed at the current state rate for any mileage travelled from the location of the CSC's identified headquarters or residence (whichever is the lesser distance) to the location CWOP supervision is being held. Mileage will not be reimbursed for travel from CSC's residence to their headquarters for CWOP supervision. CSC's are not allowed to provide transportation for any children or families.
